Recently Rebecca Dickinson aka Dickdoodahh got in contact with us asking for a few promotional images for her new and upcoming music review website, and of course we were happy to help! So we headed out to North London to meet the journalist and take a few shots.
What first inspired you start
a music blog?
I have always enjoyed
writing, and it seemed the best idea to write about something I genuinely
loved. This seemed the best way to get started.
What kind of music you tend
to feature in your blog?
I want to make sure I appeal
for different sub genres, but it would be electro, techno, and different styles
of house.
Who’s been your favourite
person to interview this far?
I have a few interviews lined
up but I have only posted the one, so I would say my interview with producer
Erotic City.
What kind of feel would you
say your site has?
I hope it comes across
relatively professional and slick, and easy to use, but having a laid back feel
of what the content is and how people will read it.
What can people expect visiting
your site?
A mix of news, events,
interviews and other bits and bobs about electronic music. There is a little
bit of opinion in there, but it’s mainly saying it as it is, letting you make
your own mind up about things.
Who’s been your favourite
live performance this year?
Last year I saw some truly
amazing performances, so this year has a lot to live up to. It was nice to have
seen a live performance of Groove Armada last year (Lovebox) and then see them
at Mixmag Live this year, but as a DJ set.
Who’s albums are you looking
forward to hearing this coming summer?
Not very original, but I am
super excited for the new Daft Punk album to be released. After being a fan for
so long, I am intrigued to see how they have adapted and how they have shaped
the album with the instruments, the samples and guest artists they have used.
